Travel is much more than checking items off a bucket list. Experiencing other cultures is about engaging and embracing differences we may have with our fellow man and learning that for all those differences we actually have much more that unites us than divides us.

Travel is no longer an activity for the rich and famous.  It has never been more accessible to people of all income levels.  You don’t have to make a lot of money to travel the world and in my mind it should be a priority because just as investing financially is a smart move, traveling is an investment in yourself.

Travel is a physical and mental activity.  In the coming weeks, months, and years, I hope to bring some traditional tips and tricks that will make traveling easier and less expensive along with planning guides to various locations.  However, there will also be opinion pieces on the state of travel as well as how best to improve what you get out of travel.  For truly conquering travel is not only about how to get to a destination the cheapest and easiest way, but to how to get the most valuable experience possible once you arrive.  Something to always keep in mind is that for all the preparation that you see here and any other resource, some of the most memorable experiences happen when things don’t go according to plan.  In travel the destination is the journey.

Sit down, strap in, and enjoy your stay at Conquering Travel.
